When Chuckle’s closed Silent Partners took over the space. Apparently via the ads, there were male strippers and drag shows.
·Listed in Orange folder FALL 1983 and revised in 1987– Answering Service – possibly like the resource directory developed by the Counseling Center for Sexual Minorities Referral and Resources Book and what has been used with their revised April 1, 1980 edition. This place was cited under Men’s Bars with notes: Full bar, full menu, pool table, entertainment.
An article in the Eagle Newsmagazine, June 1, 1985 page 85 “LADY OF 1810” “This foothills farmhouse lounging was then known as Rosini’s, as testimony from many a salt and peppered regular then will attest…A name change, or two occurred within the following years, finally coming to rest, and to be known as the 1810 Lovejoy Lounge. (Loretta) She is love. She is laughter. She is Loretta…a Lady of 1810.”
