MOUNT PISGAH
citations & references:
Per Ciao magazine [Ciao! was a pioneering gay male travel magazine in business for most of the 1970s] December 1976 issue cites nude beaches in Oregon – there were two, one being Mount Pisgah. “This is a beautiful bird sanctuary southeast of Eugene. Used to be a favorite place for glider enthusiasts. Now the skinning dippers are here in force. The beach lies along the Willamette River. Once this was polluted…not it has been cleaned and at this writing was quite safe. No hassling at present, but some legislation is due up for a vote soon.”
Per Bing website: The Mount Pisgah Arboretum is a non-profit arboretum and botanical garden located within the Howard Buford Recreation Area, between the Coast Fork of the Willamette River and the slopes of Mount Pisgah near Eugene-Springfield, Oregon, United States.
