Lesbians and gays have to work together, especially this year, to make themselves heard and felt politically." At the time, her father, Sonny Bono, was a Republican Congressman who opposed gay rights. Chastity Bono would later become one of the first high-profile faces of the trans-gender movement and the focus of the acclaimed documentary "Becoming Chaz."
