GAIL SHIBLEY
Gail R. Shibley (born c. 1958) is an American politician who was the first openly gay person to serve in the Oregon State Legislature.

Gail Shibley is the assistant director of business services at Oregon Youth Authority.
Previously served as Chief of Staff to Mayor Charles Hales in Portland, Oregon from 2012-15
Served as Senior Environmental Health Advisor & Public Health Administrator for the State of Oregon for ten years
Served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Labor, Alexis Herman providing strategic counsel and managerial oversight on all departmental communications
Previously served the Department of Labor Gail as Director of Communications for the Federal Highway Administration, where she oversaw media, industry, political and public relations regarding the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century, Livable Communities, air quality conformity, and other issues.
Served six years as State Representative improving social justice, extend Light Rail, and strengthen environmental protection in Oregon
Completed a Loeb Fellowship at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in 2000
Gail received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Oregon
