Listed where gay people went 1977-1980, probably longer time period. There was also a Denny’s Food Bar - Denny's Food Bar advertisement, 1950. Denny's Food Bar was located at W Burnside Street and 17th Avenue.

Portland’s first Denny’s opened in 1963. Denny's Grand Opening Advertisement from The Oregonian, June 8, 1963, on Burnside [Below Left] and an interesting mention – during a stabbing investigation this came up per Oregon Journal February 8, 1969 [see Below Right].
In 1968 there were two ads for Denny’s at 1730 SW Jefferson Oregonian December 23, 1968.
