It should also be noted, the same issue of the The Fountain newspaper #4 March 25-April 1, 1971 page 7 states following two items:

It is quite unclear precisely where Bell, Book & Candle was, however there appears to have been many businesses at one location as per article in the same issue of The Fountain now mentioning St. Herman’s Liberal Catholic Church and other various businesses such as mentioned in the classified below.

Above: Ad in The Fountain newspaper #4 March 25-April 1, 1971 issue page 6

In the issue of The Fountain March 25-April 1, 1971 is an ad for The Hippograiff.

In the issue of The Fountain April 2-9, 1971 it appears that at the beginning The Fountain used Bell, Book, & Candle as a drop off point.

Though, by May 1971, in The Fountain newspaper, states, “Saint Herman’s Liberal Catholic Church was located at 2229 SE Market. Phone 228-2046. In the August 1971 issue of The Fountain, an ad shows that Saint Herman’s was at 2229 SE Market.

And in the Portland Scribe newspaper, December 21, 1974-January 3, 1975 there is an ad for another store The Ides of March which included Mongoose Records, Magic Carpet, Sugar Magnolia Dress shop with no mention of Bell, Book & Candle or any other stores previously mentioned.
