Our grand opening is 𝟯 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆! So it’s probably time we explain why we decided to spread the festivities over the whole weekend, right? Well, we had a lot of folks we wanted to invite, okay!?
We called in favors (read: we asked nicely ), and we just reached out to tons of folks we met last year to help make this weekend special & impactful. We’ll have authors hanging out with us all weekend to sign their books & chat with everyone – and a 𝘁𝗼𝗻 of organizations alongside them!
Any day you visit us this weekend, it’ll be a good time. Come see what we look like at the beginning!
Long live queer books! Come find a new one to read this weekend?
Friday (3/14)
We’re joined by local author & champion for kid lit Sara Ryan (@instaryansara) in the evening, and our friends from Portland Public Schools, Multnomah County Library, and Friendly House will be with us in the afternoon!
Saturday (3/15)
The duo of Rosiee Thor (@rosieethor) & Tehlor Mejia (@tehlorkay) will be signing books with us, and they’re joined by Mask Bloc PDX (@maskblocpdx), Black & Beyond the Binary Collective (@2black4binariespdx), and Antibinary Collective (@antibinarypdx).
Sunday (3/16)
Local poet Tatiana Maria Corbitt (@authortatianamarie) will be performing a poetry reading at 1pm, then signing books alongside Jamie Pacton! (@jamiepacton) Folks from SMYRC (@smyrcpdx), the ACLU, and True Colors Recovery (@truecolorsrecovery) will be hanging out as well!
